French Wire, also known as 'Gimp' and 'Bullion' is tiny, coiled wire that is used to cover and protect bead cord from friction and breakage at the clasp area. By covering the ends of the bead cord at the clasp, Bullion Wire fortifies the cord and also gives the design a professional finish.
To use: cut two matching pieces of French Wire between 1/4 and 3/8 depending on the size of the clasp rings, and use it both when beginning and ending a knotted or strung strand.
