African Turquoise is a beautiful blue-green gemstone with black or dark brown matrix inclusions. When designing jewelry, African Turquoise looks great with silver metals, but dark bronze or gunmetal would also compliment it well. Amazonite is one of our favorite gemstones to use when designing with African Turquoise. Black or brown gemstones like Onyx, Smoky Quartz, and Black Obsidian also coordinate with African Turquoise’s darker inclusions.

This stone is not a genuine turquoise but is still a beautiful variation of speckled jasper found in many African nations.
