Chrysocolla is found in Mexico, Australia, and the U.S. state of Arizona. In ancient Greece, this stone was often used as a soldering material for gold. This led to Chrysocolla being named after a combination of the Greek words chrysos meaning “gold” and kola meaning “glue.”
