Rainbow Jasper has a deep burgundy color with banded inclusions of grey, ivory, beige, and black. This is a natural variation of the Jasper gemstone, made of layered combinations of iron oxide and clay which gives each stone a unique, multicolor appearance.

In jewelry design, Rainbow Jasper looks lovely with both silver and gold metals. Rainbow Jasper pairs well with Picture Jasper, Hematite, or Rainbow Phamton Quartz. This stone also coordinates with neutral stones like Hematite, Onyx, and Black Obsidian.

Rainbow Jasper is named in reference to its layered, multicolored look. Jasper gemstones can be found all over the world, however Rainbow Jasper in particular is most often sourced from India, China, and Madagascar.
