Turritella Agate is a North American fossilized stone that is mined at the Green River Formation in Wyoming. It is a type of Chalcedony, a mineral of the quartz family. Turritella is a genus of tightly coiled and elongated cone sea snails, you can see their fossilized forms throughout this stone.
